Melbourne Filmoteca returns to Lido in 2026! We are thrilled to be back on the big screen with a program featuring the best new films from the Ibero-American region.

About Melbourne Filmoteca:
Founded in 1999 by a group of cinephiles deeply interested in Latin American Cinema, Melbourne Filmoteca is a independent, non-profit, volunteer-run group that aims to provide a space for people with interests not only in film from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, but also the language, music and culture of Ibero-America.

We hold monthly screenings of Latin American, Portuguese and Spanish films in our new home: Lido Cinemas, Hawthorn. All films feature English subtitles.
