This eye-opening and timely documentary delves into the remarkable life of Holocaust survivor and renowned psychologist Dr. Edith Eger, whose personal story becomes a guiding light for Israeli mother Iris Haim during her darkest hours.

When Iris’s son Yotam is taken hostage by Hamas during the October 7 terrorist attacks, she leans on Edie’s memoir, ‘The Choice: Embrace the Impossible’, for solace and strength. However, after Yotam is accidentally killed along with fellow hostages by the IDF, Iris is plunged into despair and travels from Israel to California to meet Edie and hear her profound message on the power of choice, forgiveness and resilience for guidance in person.

Directed by John David Coles, award winning director and producer of House of Cards and Homeland, The Choice seamlessly transitions between Edie and Iris’s gripping narratives to create a testament to the enduring capacity of the human spirit.
