Georgia Brooks Swing Quartet

Georgia Brooks and her quartet play classic swing from the 1920s through to the 1950s, with a repertoire spanning the great composers and songwriters of the era, including George Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Rodgers and Hart, Duke Ellington and Fats Waller. Expect familiar standards, swinging rhythms and plenty of great songs from the golden age of jazz.

Melbourne jazz singer Georgia Brooks is a regular around Melbourne’s jazz rooms and has performed at venues and festivals across Melbourne and Victoria, including the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Castlemaine Jazz Festival and Melbourne Swing Festival. She released her debut album, With Thee I Swing, in 2018 with the Georgia Brooks Swingtet. Georgia is a favourite at Lido Jazz Room and will be joined by Ben Calderazzo on guitar, Robbie Finch on double bass and Sean Loughran on drums.
