After returning home from the Vietnam War, veteran Jacob Singer (Tim Robbins) struggles to maintain his sanity. Plagued by vivid memories of war and tormented by the death of his son, Singer rapidly falls apart despite the efforts of those around him. But is his declining mental state a result of post-traumatic stress a covert government experiment or something paranormal?
