“A concise study of emotional isolation … A profound, engaging and entertaining movie. – Dirty Movies

In the process of separating from his wife, David takes his two teenage children on a holiday to the Adriatic coast. His eldest daughter, 17-year-old Klara, suffers from an eating disorder, but shows signs that her appetite is improving as she falls for a handsome local boy, Denis. But things take a dark turn when a murder takes place in the town and Denis becomes the prime suspect. David rushes his children home, away from the danger and complication of the murder investigation, but the sudden separation from Denis causes Klara’s condition to decline rapidly.

This is a dark and twisted tale of a father trying desperately to connect with his children, but letting self-interest and bitterness inhibit genuine connection. The final act offers surprising revelations and takes the story in some completely unexpected directions, with the twists and turns all handled deftly by award-winning Slovenian director Olmo Omerzu.
