A pregnant woman takes a call from a supernatural deity who threatens the life of her soon-to-be-born child, ordering her on a murderous mission into the criminal underground.

The debut feature from the co-writer of A SERBIAN FILM is a nihilistic satire, or “profane thriller”, as described by the director. Fools will not be suffered gladly. “It’s a film about everything ... the global nightmare we all live in,” explains Radivojević. Wrestling with an audacious discourse between the divinity and his hostage, as all manner of religious and cultural fuses are lit, and torched. Jelena Djokić’s expectant mother is the anti-heroine ne plus ultra. Packed with sly metaphors erupting from the bedlam, KARMADONNA is provocative high art delivered with savage, brute force.
