A man awakens in a remote Californian forest, tied to a tree, with no recollection of how he got there. A mysterious stranger sets up camp, and with time running out, the desperate captive is forced to reckon with the demons of his past.

A two-hander driven by a watertight script, excellent camerawork, and the bang-on performances from Michael Weston and A. J. Buckley.  Screenwriter Steve Fauquier and Schölermann carefully, methodically unravel each layer of the film’s mystery. It’s the nuances of this film that resonant strongest, and it’s executed perfectly, with an ending that’s bound to elicit a strong reaction from the audience. A lean, mean morality play, infused with a dark sense of humour, and a grim sting in its tail.
