Master Drummer David Jones has performed with Australia’s greatest musicians including Don Burrow (OAM), James Morrison(AM) , Brian Brown (OAM)and has toured extensively overseas and throughout Australia; playing and recording in all styles of music.
David had 2 Drumkit Concertos with Orchestra written specially for him.
He is regarded as one of the most innovative drummer/percussionists worldwide.
Bassist Clive Harrison has toured overseas and established himself as a very popular and versatile bassist for many years in the Sydney’s vibrant jazz scene. He encountered David Jones and they played in many different special projects together including a trio with Mike Garson ( piano player for David Bowie.)
Clive now lives in Melbourne and has been performing with iconic jazz pianist Bob Sedergreen.
Bob is one of Australia’s greatest musicians and a leader of many special ensembles. He is unique and special; a force of musical nature.Bob and David are musical collaborators for over 48 yrs, performing and recording many times together with Brian Brown and many other original ensembles.
The program will include jazz standards, Latin pieces, original compositions and open free improvisations full of energy, dynamics and connection.. These are three very skilled and experienced musical artists; true international treasures, living on our doorstep!An event not to be missed.
