Legendary Melbourne pianist Bob Sedergreen first came across Chantal Michalsky when she enrolled in his jazz vocal course as a teenager. He realised Chantal loved performing, had listened to the great jazz vocalists of the past and yet did not copy them. Chantal had an irrepressible stage personality, and she went onto study and perform music more seriously in Canada and the USA. She returned to Melbourne as lead vocalist in the popular group Cannonball, Chantal’s powerful delivery is capable of coping with swinging standards, blues and soul with clarity and authority. Chantal can also interpret ballads with sensitivity and understanding.

Bob’s featured group for this occasion is trusted friends, bassist Ivan Rosa, drummer Mark Voogd and energetic and gifted saxophonist Mal Sedergreen. look forward to an exciting concert!
