LIMITED SEASON: ANTIPORNO

The 'Roman Porno' or 'Pink Film' genre was established in Japan in the mid-1960s and dominated Japanese domestic cinema through to the mid-1980s.

The formula for a 'Pink Film' is as follows:

1. The film must have a required minimum quota of sex scenes
2. The film must be approximately one hour in duration
3. It must be filmed on 16 mm or 35 mm film within one week
4. The film must be made on a very limited budget.

The genre has been reinvigorated in recent times with titles Wet Woman in the Wind, and Antiporno.

See Antiporno for a limited time only at Lido.

Japan's oldest major movie studio asks a batch of venerable filmmakers to revive its high-brow soft-core Roman Porno series.
