Everybody! "Hold me closer tiny dancer..."

Cameron Crowe won an Oscar for his semi-autobiographical screenplay of Almost Famous, which sees misfit teen William Miller head off on tour with fictional band Stillwater, in an attempt to write a cover story for Rolling Stone magazine.

Crowe was, himself, a teen writer for Rolling Stone and spent time in the early 70s touring with bands such as Poco, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Almost Famous features a rocking all-star cast including Billy Crudup, Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jason Lee, Zooey Deschanel, Anna Paquin, Fairuza Balk, Bijou Phillips, Noah Taylor, Jay Baruchel, Jimmy Fallon, Rainn Wilson, Eric Stonestreet, and more.
